i generally stay out of the masculinity discourse because i just don’t care about it very much, but this endless fucking whining and refusal to simply take accountability for one’s own behavior is about as far from any representation of positive masculinity as i can imagine

Yet the manosphere often peddles get-rich-quick schemes based on crypto or gambling.
I knew a guy once who really wanted to accumulate power so he could make sure 1 specific thing no one opposed happened, and he had no idea what to do with the rest of the power (responsibility) he had and didn’t even really want it. It feels a lot like that. But dumber.
