As I explained here with Ana Cabrera, selective prosecution and vindictive prosecution are not the same as an unreasonable exercise of discretion, which is how I see the charges against Hunter Biden.

$2B Saudi—>Kushner?Why?
I too feel Biden was correct in pardoning his son.
Considering how trump and those he is proposing for his cabinet have promised retribution of his perceived enemies which would include Biden via his son.
Hunter has paid for his crimes
Seems perfect use of the privilege.
Unlike Trump grifting for pardons to the highest bidder, or freeing his corrupt loyalists who expressed zero regrets
How are we letting that man back in?!
Gutted, just gutted.
But I think Democrats need to stop playing fair. That’s how we lost to Rump. Yes, the “what about” game, but how many people did rump pardon during, and at the end of his tenure?
I would also offer that the Constitution’s silence on when a pardon should be granted means that any pardon that wouldn’t constitute committing an impeachable offense doesn’t need to be “justified” in any manner.
Many pardons by Trump. Where were the cries for "justification" for each of those?
Hypocrisy and double standards from media and Republicans.
Joe will sleep at night knowing he gave his all.
Rachel and everyone at MSNBC. He hates most all of them.
I wish them all well & say THANK YOU, Mr. President.
Ha! Forced me to listen anyways!
Summary: She finds the pardon justified
Love my #SistersInLaw💕
Who is leading the charge to protect the 74million 🇺🇸Americans who STILL believe in Democracy and the Constitution?
But the Federal Bureau of Prisons under the DOJ oversees the prison Hunter would have been sentenced to.
If there's just a 1% chance Hunter would be mistreated or killed in federal prison with Trump as president? Go ahead and pardon him.
President Biden made the right decision. Period.
experts parse stuff that is inherently unknowable because our legal system has layered in a secondary foundation of internal memos, longstanding policies, hand-me-down departmental wisdom, and internal OLC opinions.
Scarsi was appointed by Donald Trump. We already know Trump ONLY appoints judges who support him.

i don't understand this
doesn't that require a time loop?
but it seems an unnecessary
commentary by the judge
Just now on NYT
Lifetime appointments and a lack of judicial oversight seem... problematic.
Otherwise, any harassment would be vindictive and cruel to hurt Joe.
The critics seem to have forgotten trump’s 79 pardons. Some were far more serious charges.

Knowing what Trump will do.
