As the Jack Smith report gets tied up in court with stall tactics, it would seem prudent for some investigative reporter to file a FOIA request so that it can be produced if and when the cases are killed after Jan 20. Pending cases are excepted from FOIA. Closed investigations are not.

Barb may be correct as to FOIA today and through noon on 01/20/25. Who knows what may be true beyond.
It can’t hurt to submit the FOIA requests, hoping that the FOIA will remain the same, & also, that the government will respond to the law as it did prior to 1/20/25.
