because I live in zone 2 v near the tube I'm a precious baby who's never been inconvenienced in my life but I'm currently going through the experience of trying to leave zone 3 on the train and: how do you London suburbs guys do it, how are you not rioting every day of your lives

We were maybe further apart but definitely psychologically closer, and far easier to meet.
I was born in W14 in 1965, lived for 45 yrs in W14,W12, W10 & then NW10 (wife same)
With a brief stint in Dalston in 1990
I love London, but I also love leaving London to get home to S Cambs
London imv is a young persons game - unless v v Ladbrook SQ wealthy
Having just arrived home in Essex…..
We get about 6 buses a day, though. If we walk a mile and a half to ths stop.
But the letters section of the local newspaper, well let me tell you…
I don't wish you ill in any way but boy is that not a way of life I can even pretend to understand, give me an easily accessible shoebox over space in the wilderness any day of the week
Signed. A Tonbridge Dweller.
Pray for me.
It’s 17 minutes to Victoria
If it fails I have lines to different central stations within a 15 minute walk
There’s Zone 4, then there’s Penge
Don't wanna see the Overground EVER AGAIN.
Londoners (like me) are totally parochial.
The zone map is like the bullseye of England’s concentric circles of travel doom.
We then have the selfish Cambridge based LibDem/Labour politicians pushing for a £1,250-£12,500pa drivers tax to keep vehicles out of their city.
