Reminds me of the McGillicuddy Serious Party of New Zealand; in one general election they put up 100 candidates for 96 parliamentary seats -- and one was a duck. Another time, another town, they addressed a petition to the local mare.
Let's face it, he's a Pyr. He'll chase off a bear and then run and hide from the vacuum cleaner. His priorities are crystal clear. His election makes more sense than over half of the legislative branch and ALL of the executive.
The worst part I just read is that Duke passed away a handful of years ago, however he was replaced by another wonderful mayor named Khaleesi, also a Great Pyranees.
As the proud owner of a Great Pyrenees, I hate to tell these Minnesotan voters that if the don’t like politicians who snore and drool in public, then the voted for the wrong breed.
