As Donald Trump issues orders that critics say appear to disregard the law, a haphazard group of opponents is filing lawsuits — and it’s starting to work.

I can't believe Bezos let you publish this tepid implication that someone somewhere might have a criticism. Thank you for the light you shed without which democracy would surely die in darkness.
Key words...
"Critics say appear"
Which means ..they probably don't.
But legacy media will influence the left to think it's reality..instead of "appear"
Trump issues orders that are lawless. Resistant opponents are filing lawsuits, beginning to be successful. Hire me. I can do a better job of editing. 🤦🏼♀️
Haphazard? Different groups are filling lawsuits. It takes a while to flesh out the lawsuits. I don't think they all are coming from the same law organization.
"appear to" You are journalists. Do your job. You wouldn't say a player "appeared to" hit a home run, so don't say the orders "appear to" violate the law. They violate the law
This is JOURNALISM???
Trump "APPEARS" to disregard the law?
Describing the people defending democracy as a "HAPHAZARD" group?
To quote Joseph Welch, "Have you no decency, sir?"
As Donald Trump issues orders that clearly violate the law as demonstrated by law professors in prestigious universities and lawyers everywh.... hell even I can tell this shit isn't legal.
@washingtonpost.com this isn't journalism. Do better.
Override Bezos and tell him to fuck himself for the USA
They don't "appear" to disregard the law, they do (as well as the Constitution). Quit framing this as two sides with differing opinions and report factually.
When will the #Americans revolt en masse against the idiot Trump and his society disrupting policies ?
He is a major danger to safety and the economy in the world !
Republicans have no intention to respect unfavourable court rulings, anyone who expects otherwise is delusional.
"...when the courts stop you, stand before the country like Andrew Jackson did and say, ‘The chief justice has made his ruling. Now let him enforce it.’”
I can't stress enough the importance of watching this video. I'm not asking for you to subscribe. I'm not asking for monetary support. I don't care about views. I ONLY CARE that you understand the gravity of our crisis. Please Watch! A WARNING from 3 years ago! https://youtu.be/MmirKUAMgGo?...
I agree that the headline is lame....but even worse, the story marginalizes the protests that happened yesterday in the streets of Washington, DC, the capital cities of every state, and other major cities as well. I went to one yesterday; people are furious and there will be more. #50501
They're in their ivory tower thinking up new ways to demean the resistance and prop up their dementia ridden pick. They can't be bothered with the little people taking to the streets. Just wait til they come for them, then they'll wonder where all those "haphazard" "critics" are at.
Lawsuits need to be discussed by newspapers, tv stations, etc. that have read Bill of Rights and other parts of Constitution. I am tired of reading things from lawyers who work for newspapers who do not know what Constitution says.
Bill of Rights, Constitution, Amendment 11 - 27 on National Archives
The past 8 years have shown that the courts can be prevented from carrying out the law by Trump with help from the Supreme Court. This will happen again and again.
Literally everything he is doing is anti Constitutional, or violates 10 laws, literally almost everything they are doing. Its like zero lawyers are looking at any of this on their side.

More proof we don't hate legacy media enough

* Law
* Morality
* Truth
Things Trump doesn't have:
* Integrity
* Empathy
* Remorse
Things Trump NOW has:
* Gov't trifecta
* SCOTUS immunity
* Almost TOTAL CONTROL of our military, intel, & law-enforcement agencies
>>> Our nation is in peril. We must resist.
Your job, as reporters, is to check the facts
Do they disregard the law?
If you don't know, go check

“Disregard the law,” huh?
So WaPo of you.
What do fair-minded observers say?
What does anyone with a fucking brain and their eyes open say?
Is there anyone left at the Washington Post in either of those categories?
What happens to democracy in darkness?

In European media, it is clear that it is understood that maybe our high regard for Americans was uncalled for.
After all, we now see a seemingly heartless country "shooting" viciously at anything that moves.
Proceed. Hahaha
Do @washingtonpost.com editors have access to a thesaurus?
You’re calling FBI agents and @democraticags.bsky.social haphazard?
There are many lawsuits against Trump and federal government agencies
Fr good reason
Uhm, they haven't slowed down or stopped?
The principles and organizations objecting to Trump breaking the law are very clear!
"Haphazard" is an outright lie. I don't for a minute believe you accidentally used the wrong word out of ignorance.
Can anyone name something bad that Hitler did in 1933, where Trump is not currently attempting something similar?
