Yep, that's right. I think the only other extra's on the 800 were the second cartridge slot and easily upgrade-able memory. I did get my 400 upgraded to 48k, but we either had to take it somewhere or send it away iirc.
Drop a like & a 'Follow' if you worked with Jack Haegar after the Amiga debut and demo with Andy Warhol & Debbie Harry! (Or find that interesting!) ๐
pfeh. I kinda revealed my age to my millennial coworkers when to answer our standup question "What's the most memorable Christmas gift you ever got?" I said Atari 2600.
Sure Iโll drop a re-AW DAMMIT, it broke on the floor.
Honey! Can you grab the kid? I dropped the reply and now there are reply shards everywhere!โฆI donโt want him walking through the replyโฆcause heโll cut himself!
I actually started playing on a Mattel Intellivision, after that it was a Commodore Amiga 500. Still playing at the age of 45. Indy Fate of Atlantis in the old days, just finished Star Wars Outlaws and now the new Indy. Absolutely loving it ๐
I'm 40+ but I'm not a regular gamer.
I find the modern computing scene is hostile to my type of gamer. Rather than immersive 3D environments and open worlds, I'm happy playing simpler puzzle games... but it seems they're only developed for mobile phones or tablets now. Who decided this??
45 here, and when I was a kid my mom would load up midi Christmas songs and graphics on the C64 while we opened presents. Brenda Lee and Bing Crosby got a break for a couple years.
Looks like an arcade stick setup. Maybe for another system. Two fire buttons so close when they would both do the same thing on a C64 would be weird, but I've been wrong before.

Most recent purchases (hey, diversity!)
And now I can't bend over to reach it.
I'm currently cracking out on BlackOps6 Zombies at 49.
I'm well old. Still a gamer though ๐๐
For a few more years.

My grip strength isnโt what it used to be.
I started out with a Plus 4, so not the usual C64 kid, but it was still a great start!
