Replaying #Fallout 4 with some of the new content. It's a nice graphic upgrade and while some of the new content isn't that wild, it was fun to drop a Minutemen artillery strike on an Enclave camp.

I would strongly recommend Survival mode if you haven't tried it. It really reconfigured the game for me, turning it into a rogue-lite (since you can only save when resting) and forcing me to learn and think about the map much more, as well as giving purpose to camps that wasn't there before.
you're saying the normal fo4 mode isn't survival? for someone who mostly rides through the prairie of rdr2, I shut down fo4 very quickly bc it was fuckin scary. the rabid dogs, the radioactive monster beas, and the ghouls 😵💫😅
Yes, absolutely agree. Survival mode makes you have to be so much more strategic. I have a question I’ve been wanting to ask you - have you played Fallout: London yet? Any thoughts? I’ve been considering buying a gaming PC primarily so I can give it a try.
It runs great on both the XSeries and the PS4 - the mod selection, sony-side is terrible, I think it has the slight edge in performance. Xbox has more lag but less crashes. (Both can be avoided by not going bonkers in Boston)
I hated the PC version for the load screens. Killed it for me, 1st hour
My son did multiple play throughs recently doing the different story arcs. I think the minutemen were the best ally and were not fraught with moral dilemmas like the other factions.
Minutemen are the best faction. The Brotherhood of Steel are a bunch of pigs with their “Might is Right” attitude…they show up uninvited and expect everyone to bow down to them.
Pigs.
The "Old World Blues" mod for HOI4 (that converts the game to the fallout world) is letting me beat the hell out of wasteland fascists and raiders as the NCR in a post apocalyptic hellscape and yes this is what I do to take my mind off our actual hellscape.
I may have to revisit... I wasn't able to get into it a couple years ago and I need something to wash the stain of disappointment from my Civ VII experience.
It was fantastic when Fallout 4 brought mod functionality to consoles. Now I’m hooked on Baldurs Gate 3, which is doing something similar. The PS5 and online play is a way to hang out w/ my son while he’s attending college.
Played through the Far Harbor DLC for the first time recently; just a masterful addition to an already great game. The ambiance and ambiguity of the story really sets it apart.

Perhaps because the artillery always felt like a cheat code?
Would have made my Thanksgiving play through much easier though.
Pigs.
(I jest, I jest!)
