You know what’s also sad? Mr. Walt Disney is widely known to have had according to videos, audio, commentary, you name it to have toxic views that of Germany at the time. It’s unsettling. Disney has come so far to represent others, to clean up their image, to hold themselves accountable, but now
They are doing this and they think it’s the right thing! Well, it’s not and they need to stand up or people are just going to literally have to somehow figure out how to boycott Disney and even explain to their children why they can’t do certain things with Disney right now
If we think explaining to kids why they can’t go to Disney is the biggest of our problems, well, wow. It’s gonna be a lot harder to explain why there’s no food when they’re starving or no doctor when they’re sick or no school or why their friend down the street was sent away…
I completely agree with you. I didn’t mean to imply it as one of the biggest problems in the entire world like it’s life and death. Obviously food on the table and getting the proper care is more critical than boycotting a stupid store or channel or park.
The good news is that the kids get it. My daughter & her friends just performed the play Peter & Wendy at school, & started to watch Peter Pan at the cast party. After tearing it a new one, they turned it off. I really wish we could have done better for them.
I’m just saying that we have life and death problems. Right now. So we gotta stop getting distracted with this stuff and start getting serious. How are we going to stop the war that is coming? Let’s put our energy there. #totherevolution
Trumpism was always at its core about people who wanted to say racist, sexist, homophobic, ableist things and not get written up at work, or have their kids say they aren’t allowed around the grandkids anymore.
Given the many years of churning out racist, sexist and homophobic movies and cartoons it would seem they just want to Make Disney Great Again. They can pull stuff out of the vault with pride now.
Peter Pan is quite stunningly racist, I watched it with my kid when she was little and it went out of its way to be racist, even for the time it was made in. Could really do with a remake.
At the end of the day, DEI policies simply asked for transparency and accountability for racism in content, hiring practices, etc. It’s really pathetic that companies as insulated as Disney (they have enough money to hold the line) lick the boot at the first opportunity.

I genuinely hope Disney reverses their decisions, ideally ASAP, at latest April.
I hear Ted Nugent is working on a rock opera of "Lolita" as well.
Project close to me and I won’t let it go. 🙏🏽
Seriously, that man can play ANY role.
