So I wear socks to bed and I just heard someone on TV cast aspersions on wearing socks to bed, so where do you stand on socks in bed? I never knew it was a "thing."

You sure he wasn’t just casting asparagus? I often have asparagus thrown at me when I mention my preferred nightwear.
Anyway, as the song goes, I wear my woolen bedsocks in the winter when it’s not (hot), but otherwise (in the springtime, the summer and the fall), I hop right in with no socks on
Like pineapple on pizza. Not on mine, but you do you! (Although, both are unhealthy-ish.Skin gotta’ breathe and pineapple/ tomato combo is too much acid!)
I was having weird pain and cramps in my toes. Doc told me to wear socks to bed in cold and wet weather. No more problems after that.
It doesn’t get that cold or wet where I live now, so I don’t do it anymore.
The talking heads are Always on the alert for some interesting but inconsequential things to fill their time slot.
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t.
Weather related even if it’s just in my mind.
To my husband’s absolute delight, I find socks are the only remedy when my feet refuse to warm up. Inevitably kicked off during the night, they’re a good start at a solid sleep. I’ve ALSO been known to wear a cardigan to bed. I’m only 52. He’s a lucky guy 🤦♀️
The only time I don't EVER have socks on my feet is when I'm showering. If I don't the bottoms of my feet will completely dry out to the point of cracking & make it feel like I'm walking on glass, very painful. I also hate having cold feet so I usually have a pair of fuzzy socks on too.
Yeah, my feet have to go sans socks. It's because I'm the original hill billy. The hubs practically has to fight me to put shoes on my feet to go to church. I keep pointing out Jesus is barefoot.
I thought my grandfather was eccentric when I learned he wore socks to bed. I tried it once when my feet were really cold and was amazed that I slept better. Sometimes yes. Sometimes no.
it really depends on how cold it is and if i decided to pamper myself with foot cream that night (can't get into bed willy nilly with foot cream on cuz the sheets get greasy :c )
I never did until I was charged with murder 1 and was kept in prison for 14 months. You keep everything on. BTW, the guy I killed ODed a month after I got out if prison.
If it's so cold that I *need* socks, then I definitely dial the A.C. up a ⁰ or two warmer, or bump up the heat, or throw on another blanket/quilt/duvet. I wear socks all day - night time is the chance for my feet to breathe!
If it's winter, and you heat with wood, socks. Summer, not so much. Less than ideal circulation with icy feet, socks. Menopausal hot flashes, no socks. Totally situationally dependent.
No way, I’d be far too hot. As it is, I constantly have to put an arm or leg outside the blanket for a few minutes to cool down. I don’t have any moral objections to anyone else doing it.
Ha-ha! Winter I get lazy when it comes to hair removal. Hubby runs his hands down my leg murmuring "furry", gets to my socks and goes "Ooo, extra furry." Much better than my popsicle toes, the result of severe Raynaud's.
It was °37 here last night in the California high desert.
I had the window cracked next to my bed.
Have always done that after growing up in Minnesota.
(Not hormonal/age related)
No socks. I breath better when the air is cooler. (Asthma)
How about do whatever the hell makes you feel good. 😃 If we have to ban wokeness, then I want to ban yucking everyone else’s yum. Life is difficult enough. Be free to wear socks to bed.

So big yes on socks!

Can't believe that with everything that's going on this is what we're discussing lol
Just occured to me😳😬
Now I have repented. Neuropathy makes sleeping without socks impossible.
Call me a convert
Do you live in the tropics or a much colder climate?
🤷🏾😃
In my bed with the wife ( and often the dog) i can be sock free.
If I’m not wearing shoes, I’m not wearing socks.
I don’t wear shoes to bed.
Maybe that's your problem!
I’m often considered weird.
