THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at TAU and the University of Lisbon have developed a groundbreaking nano-vaccine against COVID-19, delivered via nasal spray WITHOUT requiring cold storage. Preclincial studies show the vaccine was effective against ALL major SARS-CoV-2 variants. Letβs talk about that! π§ͺπ§΅β¬οΈ

Is this the same nasal spray that prevents the transmission of Covid 19, or is that a different beast?
But I love being wrong!
It's worth remembering that COVID is highly adaptive and will likely find a way around any vaccine in time, so this wouldn't eradicate it. But easy vaccine delivery will help us stay ahead.

Alas, since both of those fine universities are outside U.S, there will tprobably be a huge import tarrif. (;

But I must point out that the political implications of Israeli involvement, especially now, could be a headache.
Seems a way off though, no?
Need human trials, supply chain, am I missing something?
Also you sound very knowledgeable so I am hoping I can ask you a couple questions ?
Will the original Covid tests that Biden sent out work on the new variants? Also are new tests available for free or do we purchase them this time ?
Also I know phobias and anxieties aren't logical, we will do irrational things to avoid things we don't like. But that's how I got over my own anxieties. A little pinch is better. lol.
But I know people can be like "oh i'll do it later," to avoid the shot and they keep finding reasons to delay.
But yeah, a nasal spray would help TONS of people.
It's where your body expects to meet infectious respiratory stuff
On a practical basis there's less need of relatively scarce medical resources to administer a nasal spray
Sorry, couldn't resist.
the vaccine can easily enter the body through the nose because of its nano-ness?
this technology is so mind blowing. getting immunity by doing something on the level of drinking a pill. what a time to be alive!
sehr interessant!

~Antivaccers, probably
No syringes, less training, fewer screaming kids, and no freezers.
What's the heat resistance?
Not a fan of shoving things up my nose either but a choice between a needle and nasal spray? I'll happily pick the spray. π
It is great that I can be seen by a local doctor but my clinic doesn't have a freezer that can store the vax, so I'd have to travel 100 miles to the nearest VA clinic instead.

useful info?
But you donβt have to sell me on a shelf stable nasal vaccine being huge. Thatβs great news.
o wait this is even better
(This variation of this meme popped into my head after reading your thread, sorry not sorry ^^;; )
For the greater good!

(These are big 'ifs'. But if they did come true...)
"I got Pfizer Strawberry."
"Nice, I got Moderna Pineapple."
Hopefully we'll see it as an over the counter option.
I'm guessing we're still yet to see what if any side effects there will be, but it's definitely looking promising so far
Chise!!!
Can covid be defeated with a good beating from a small stick?
