Writers i love you but please stop using AI art on your book covers.
Draw it yourself use public domain images barter with a friend ANYTHING ELSE.
It feels like you hate us visual artists when you use AI art

I understand published authors don't always have a choice, but indie ones damn well do.
I would not blame an author for a decision made by a company.
My new logo is cleaner, more scalable, more accurate symbology, and probably took less time than prompting AI into something useful.
Hell, I wouldn't even touch public domain images.
Cover artwork is a lost artform, and many people do a great disservice to themselves by phoning it in.
Instead the left one looks so interesting! It also has a much nicer and approachable title font & typing.
Like what's going on with the right one's "THE DRAGON ........lords medallion...."
So odd.
Reading the text (it sounds good ❤️), I feel the team's cover fits it even less, as it lacks emotion and uniqueness with the ugly medallion
The number of writers who have followed me recently with AI covers on their books is really disheartening.
I don’t want someone to follow me if they clearly have no issue stealing from artists. Also, I immediately question if they actually wrote the book if they have no qualms using AI.
I would rather the book have just plain text of the title on the cover than AI crap.
If you use it for the cover art, why should I trust that you didn’t also just use it to write for you?
Many artists will work within a budget for fellow creatives.
If a company wants a cover from me it's 800-1k.
If a writer wants one? I've done $100 before lol.
When I see art I like, but then realize the artist has no face
No connection, no before or after.
Just a costume hanging off a computer program.
Write your senator. Use @resist.bot or write an actual letter. Make yourself heard.
Even if you're not an artist, I implore you all. This isn't just our art they're stealing. It's our data and personal communications.
There's currently nothing prohibiting this.

It’s not like book covers are so horribly expensive either. I’ve seen artists offer book covers for less than 700USD which is more than reasonable for a commercial project 🤷♀️
Have some respect for your potential audience. Put some practical thought on the front. Nobody's gonna care if it's not a masterpiece on your book, you're not supposed to be a cover artist! You're a writer!
We have to link arms and team up.
Wouldn't it suck if I as a comic artist and made a really popular book using ai as the writer and just said "oh i don't need writers!!"
💔😭💔
Literally crafting works of art!
nah u right, same team and all that.
but people have always assumed they don't need writers, they never needed AI for that assumption. 😂
Block and move on
Six fingers, ears melting, BG elements looking like a smudge, buildings growing out of buildings… All things uncanny valley.

You can't be upset for ppl using AI for writing only to then turn around and stab artists in the back.
Bashing on the small Author for the fact the Publisher used AI Art is a little like bullying a small child for growing up in an abusive home. 🙄😬😤
Don't use Al images :(
Granted I do have the skills to do it and all it will cost is time, if I didn't then I'd just wait a little longer to save up for someone, you know
AI cover? Shunned, blocked, forgotten.
Not your choice? Let your publisher know that it's sales and career poison.
i mean it without a hint of irony when i say id be more inclined to read a book that uses a photoshop edit of public domain photos found in google that was made in 5 minutes max than ai art for its cover
Heck even a nice font choice has drawn me in
