I want to appreciate this for what it is. We dying but we dyeing. It’s kinda poetic.
As a foster kid, I never had established norms. As a parent, I cling to any norm that could be fun. This year the Easter bunny will paint potatoes. Next year I’ll figure out how to paint something.
I'm sorry, this has to be satire. I know eggs are expensive, but there is no way that potatoes are cheaper than plastic eggs. I understand the environmental impact of plastic, but if people were that concerned about the environment probably aren't wasting food for a game.
I'm questioning why people are using potatoes when, if the problem is cost, there is an even cheaper alternative.
I know the point they are trying to make, and if it were labeled as satire, it would be making it, but if read at face value, it is about people who are saving money in really dumb ways
This might be a class thing. The point of the egg hunt when I was a kid was to have an egg to eat. So to me the plastic egg makes 0 sense. Do I think a potato is a great idea, no, but you can still eat it.
When I was growing up, the plastic eggs were always filled with candy, and the real eggs got thrown in the trash because they were now too dirty to be safe. And my family loved the plastic eggs because they could be used year after year, rather than needing to make them every year.
And yet, for all the weirdos out there who don't eat the eggs anyway, why not just decorate wood or ceramic or the like. All of this is so unbelievably dumb.
What a disappointing article, it’s mostly about plastic eggs, Paas sales and candy alternatives. The word potato is only in the article once with no link even to the how to video. No images of people’s dyed potatoes, no methods for making your potatoes egg shaped, no cost comparisons per dozen.
You might be able to get away with this type of deception on the other site, but when you want to bring receipts over to this site, make sure they have dates on them. You people are so lame.
And if this is truly your picture like you're trying to play like it is.Take a picture with the date
That’s an amazing price. The average price for a 5lb bag around here is 3.99 so about $1 less than a dz eggs. I suppose we’ve gotten used to eggs on sale during Easter for $1 dz. Those days are over. I would skip a some chocolate basket treats (super expensive too) & buy eggs but I do 💚 potatoes.
Yes I’m sure the sale is in anticipation of the coming holidays.
Got an email today from a different store that I can get just one dozen eggs for $0.99, but I have to order online for pickup and spend $70 minimum. 🙃
So the whole ancient pagan egg/rebirth metaphor has become more of a forget something kinda dirty and lumpy in the hanging kitchen basket until its inedible and sprouts creepy nubbins

Potatoes.
We can do this ALL day.

Good chance Trump will be playing the villain in, “How the POTUS stole Easter.”
Russians: now you know how we feel.

Instead of chocolate, substitute potatoes.
Instead of insulin, substitute potatoes.
Instead of a free country, substitute potatoes.
Potato farmers will be raking it in for the first time.
for years the farm has been looking for an excuse to drop real eggs, which take a lot of time and money to prepare, and switch to plastic eggs
the socalled hi cost of real eggs is the perfect excuse
typical business bullshit, IMO
You can also mix it with powdered sugar to make a dough for potato candy and shape that into eggs.

I can’t find a dozen eggs for that price.
