I'm not targeting any particular group, though I think Mormons are more orthodox in some ways than this kind of stuff. I'm targeting in particular a charismatic tradition that focuses on things like spiritual healing, exorcisms, possession, etc., but only from a pop culture view.

I think something to underline is that many people in this tradition couldn’t articulate orthodoxy in general terms when asked. I was one of them. The fight against this kind of thing is therefore theological, not rhetorical. American churches are often the places that need to hear the Gospel.

No disagreement here. I grew up in rural Texas with a hunger for real theology and found almost everyone in my church growing up lacking. The pastor had better knowledge than anyone, and at least he was humble enough to know his limits.

I grew up in a rural Oregon town and also hungered for theology. When I was 15 I used my own money to purchase a Strong’s Concordance, thus proving my love of Bible study. It also had the unintended consequence of ensuring my virginity and taking me off the dating market.

Except that doing so would be a forbidden act in Islam. It is makruh (reprehensible, but not forbidden) to pray in another's holy place without permission or necessity. A Muslim may pray in a church or synagogue with permission, however, to avoid offense.

Even still, Muslims are supposed to pray in a mosque if one is available, and only pray elsewhere if necessity requires. Because Muslims are by and large polite about prayer and not doing it to be seen doing it.

According to the Quran, if you can’t find a nearby mosque, then then whole world can be your mosque as long as you can perform salah (purification) and prostrate yourself. Basically the preference is mosque - private - in public if you have to - someone else’s home/temple but with their permission.

Actually charismatic Christianity is a late 19th/early 20th century beast that arose almost entirely from frontier preaching/tent revival styles. The Founding Fathers never encountered it.
