People on Twitter keep calling Bluesky an "echo chamber" but after literal years in what can only be described as a "screaming chamber" I will take a respite where I can get it

I've been using Buffer, it works. I think it's more targeted towards businesses but you can link three accounts for free, and it can also schedule posts. I just use it to post to Twitter and Bsky at the same time.
Twitter is just a garbage site now. Haven't visited in a long time, but from what I've heard it's mostly crypto and gambling posts mixed with conspiracy theories.
I have been hesitant to use Bluesky primarily because they still have no iPad app (I know it’s not a noble reason…) I finally found the Greysky app via Reddit so I am willing to give this community another try, hopefully the #s keep growing and the community gets rounded out
If you view social media as a form of entertainment, it's insane to think you're somehow obligated to view stuff you actively dislike or endure people screaming insults at you.
I also think the migration is slowly starting to happen. This site gets more populated by the day, so hopefully we get a wider range of viewpoints (hopefully without the fascism or Musk-simping).
...but also the internet has always been an echo chamber, so what's new
It's not even an echo chamber, there's just less fighting. Like I had an actual conversation with someone I disagreed with and it didn't devolve into fighting.
While I have only been on bluesky for less than a week, I've found more of a community here than twitter in 2 years. I actually enjoy opening this app and talking with actual people and not spammed with bots. It's nice!
I wouldn’t say it’s an echo chamber, there can certainly be discussion and discourse in comments. There’s just certainly a lot less antagonizing and baiting because people have the right idea to just block weirdos, and no algorithm means no traction for them if you don’t engage.
It's certainly a lot calmer here, but as is the case with all social media, cliques eventually take hold, and humans when given the chance do show a preference for their tribal echo chambers.
People on bsky really shouldn't be concerning themselves with the opinions of people on "X". mostly because most users of that platform aren't actually people capable of having opinions.
The echo chamber thing is so funny. The only thing you can’t say here is bigoted garbage. It’s the same people who say the civil war was about state’s rights. Goose chasing boy.jpeg “What did you say that got you yelled at on Bluesky!”
First thing I do each morning is go right on bluesky and say hello to everyone. No ads, no drama, everyone is chill, we have reasonable discussions. I can sip my tea and scroll at cat/art pics in peace. Its a breath of fresh air here.
Considering that Twitter has been overrun with the hateful opinions and engagement bait of the unwashed asses of society... their opinion means absolute shit!
Bluesky has been a fair better experience the past week than what I had on Twitter the past 2 years.
It's finally getting to the point where many of the accounts I follow on 🐦 are on here too. So if I see the same post in both places. I'll engage with the post here, and just post the screenshot of my comment on 🐦. 😈🍷

It’s about a female bounty hunter exposing the lies of an overly-militarized government after they saved her with an experimental vaccine.
The anti-woke grifters should hate it, but hot blonde!

I miss it
And like if you want to hear from a load of Nazis you can still look at Twitter.
It's much, much chiller here.
