The malls and big box stores in SE Michigan used to be jam packed with Ontarians when I was growing up. They’d often come on organized trips via tour buses. I imagine it’ll look a lot like that.

I don’t think the shift will be huge. Trump and Co will work to whip up anti-Canadian sentiment if they get the slightest hint of this being a trend (or for dozens of other reasons) and half the US will be boycotting Canada by the summer. It’ll only really be for special items, like Switch 2

If I lived anywhere near the Canadian or Mexican border, I would be doing a lot of my shopping on the other side where there are no tariffs on coffee, fruit, vegetables, textiles, electronics, European wine, and any number of other things.
