Hi, just putting this out there,
I've got extra Pebble (https://pebble.is) invites.
If you want to add that as option
or if someone else wants to create similar form.
It's great to see people band together to do this. Likely end of this year or early next year, the invites will be gone and the doors thrown open. (When infrastructure is built and can handle many millions of users.)
Establishing communities and norms now will help to make this place sustainable.
I’ve been directing folks to the Google form since it was chaotic for months for me to keep track of codes being sent to me on email and DM on twitter. Most annoying is when people ask but then don’t use the code! Or same code went to more than one person by the donater or me inadvertently.
I'd like to add this opinion here as well: especially the scientific community should strive for transparency, openness and federation - in other words #mastodon. After the fantastic breakdown of T, why should I help them lock themselves in again? If Elsevier just died, would you build it again?

I will try giving back to this effort by donating my spare codes!
We have swag for your conference badge that says “I tweet”, and I’m going to recruit those folks to submit a request for one of those invites!
