Evidently a nap longer than 20 minutes will create sleep inertia, which is leftover grogginess. I’ve seen articles that say you should drink a caffeinated beverage, then nap for 20 minutes, at which time the caffeine kicks in. Supposedly this is a thing in Japan.
Sounds like a skills easy. I've mastered the art of "body inventory" meditation that knocks me right out and even my worst nap (where I'm not really asleep or awake) has me feeling just a bit clearer headed.
And because I was cursed by a witch one night when I didn't let her into my ballroom party, I always misspell or misuse at least word in my posts - "easy" should be "issue".
My fave is taking a lunch nap and somehow entering into a REM cycle by the end of the 30 mins so I feel like dog shit. Still do it daily, in fact I am writing mid nap to say this extremely important info
When you wake up from a nap and your body is like “oh shit! I thought we were laying down to die… sorry dog, I totally misread that. Lemme start turning stuff back on here, uh… gimmie a couple minutes…”
I read somewhere that it’s because your digestive system also starts doing a lot of work during sleep, but you basically cut the expected cycle short— which leads to stomach nausea.
I think I've read this before. Also worth mentioning: if you wake naps and wake up either nauseated or headachey, get your blood pressure checked! People with high blood pressure can suffer those effects from naps.

Naps?! No thank you!
Not advocating, purely informational.
I have no idea if I'll come out of this tub refreshed, or exhausted. Flip a coin, could go either way!
Not today 😤.
Actual nap of virtually any length in my bed = rhythm off, huge headache, somehow more tired than before
It works 15% of the times I’ve tried it.
Also, I have to live through the trauma of getting up from a cozy spot for the second time that day.
why did napping make me want to puke??
