You can be a victim of abuse and still be a horrible person in the present day. Her politics are cruel. Possibly this explains her weird fascination with Boris. I think many of the top Tories have been abused in their boarding schools.

Sadly the abuse never really leaves your thoughts , for me most days I am fine but on days when you are a bit low or see ,hear something that little thought demon taps you on the shoulder and takes you back to your damaged childhood . My abuse happened 50 yrs ago and it can still make me cry .

This is 100% true. The very worst of crimes. Lives taken away from individuals before their lives have even begun. Innocence snatched away, and they then have to live with it everyday wondering “why them?”. They are quite literally mentally tortured on a daily basis, of which there is no escape.

I was a forensic psych [Yes, Cracker was a pretty good depiction of the art] for 10 years in my early career and profiled many a sex offender. I came to the conclusion that rehabilitation of sex offenders was nigh on impossible. Some of the crimes were horrendous & sanitised 4 the press inevitably.

I feel this way to much, I was 7, at the age of 40 I told my wife I still despise my abuser for all those years lost yes it isn't just when it happens it stays with you, it colours every choice you make and how you trust or even if you can, it isn't something you just get over it stays with you
