My fav behavior is the time shifting they do to maximize overdrafts. You have $100 in bank, you write a check for $20 and another for $101 a bit later. They intentionally count the $101 first so they hit you for the OD fee on that and then the $20 check is processed after to get you there too.

They also now get you with “funds not available” fees EVEN if they don’t pay the charge. This is when you specifically designate them to not be able to overdraw because you don’t want fees. So they found another fee AND aren’t even covering the overdraft charge.

Note that the Senate could change its rules to stop following the CRA if it wanted to, but it has not.
