🚨BREAKING The Supreme Court in a 5-4 vote rejected the Trump administration’s request to lift a lower-court order requiring the government to unfreeze over $1.5 billion in foreign aid owed to nonprofits and government partners for their humanitarian efforts with the U.S.A.I.D.

Lose forever? Likely the money was being given for nothing?
Musk defunded Lutheran LTC called them $ launderers.
Why because the church helped immigrants.
Just goes to show that SCROTUS is bent
This is a metaphor about SCOTUS
Nixon: Well there are all sorts of dinners, you know.
Reagan: Yeah. Oh, out here [Earl] Warren
Nixon: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Reagan: It was a load of crap. [Nixon acknowledges throughout] The old man---I wish to hell he
[unclear]---
Nixon: Oh, incidentally, I want---I think you should know, on another subject, that we’ve got two terrific nominees
damn young, he’s 47---but probably he’ll be the strongest man on the court.
Reagan: Oh, good. My heart was, of course,
Nixon: Well, let me say, he’s at the right age and he is right up there on consideration. Our problem was that we had to take one southerner. It was Powell. And I couldn’t take two corporate lawyers.
Nixon: You see the problem?
Reagan: Yeah.
Nixon: He’s a corporate lawyer and the other is. But Smith, you know, has got a terrific record: chairman of the [California] Board of Regents, and so forth. And as [John N] Mitchell will tell you,
Glad to hear it but I've gotta wonder if they're feeling a little "king remorse"
But notice how fucking hypocritical Alito is more appalled by a district court judge's "unchecked power" than by a WH occupant usurping Congress' power of the purse.
Does he even hear himself?
Fun Fact: SCOTUS & CONGRESS ARE EQUAL PARTNERS TO THE PRESIDENT.
THEY DO NOT HAVE TO DO WHAT HE SAYS.
He whines about a lower court judge "forcing" the US Gov to spend money, which is what judges do when a Pres attempts to illegally impound legal funds
Was this a bad way of saying "the judge should have ruled slightly differently"?

Fucking really?
I have my doubts
Lesson: if you are dealing with the USA, make sure you get the first and last months rent in advance.
Taxpayers essentially voted for THAT USE of their tax dollars through their representatives in Congress… because THAT’S HOW A REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY WORKS… FFS!!!🤦🏽♂️
It’s YOU that wanted to deny the will of taxpayers!!
ACB showing signs of having a soul and a spine is encouraging.
Don't go giving me false hope now
The holding is that the government must comply with the lower court’s orders. It wasn’t a substantive decision AND it is an extraordinary ruling on the generally unappealable TRO order.
What if Trump doesn’t comply?
Impeach or 25th Amendment….
Nothing else I see.
I’m all for setting the bastards against each other!

So sad

Where is it in the Constitution that you don't have to pay your bills if you are a Republican?
Which he’s already doing
probably performative, unless Amy had an epiphany.
And this cool pic I found in this article...

And at least one of those 4 is being bribed while voting for a dicktatorship
It's getting tiring living here.
These are horrible people, these "conservawtives."
“In denying Trump’s request, SCOTUS asked the D.C. District Court to clarify what the government’s obligations are, though the lower court’s order to release the funds remains in effect.”
Justice delayed is justice denied.
Now who is going to enforce it, particularly since everyone at USAID has been fired and the offices shuttered?
