According to Bloomberg News, Canada (and I believe Mexico too) gets an exemption from Trump's baseline 10% tariffs -- the existing tariff exemption for USMCA compliant goods will continue. Good thread here from Bloomberg's @brianplatt.bsky.social
Do currency manipulation and trade barriers include currency conversion and shipping costs? I’m really trying to make his numbers add up and it’s not working.
Part of the EU? And its not like you guys have your own money anymore right? (I know you do.. Its almost like the person making this list didn't know the difference between EU and Euro)
Which is dumb, because it really doesn't affect the American exporters, only the NZ importers snd consumer paying for goods they want from the US - there is a difference between a tax snd and tariff, but Donald is too dumb to see it.
Trump is a fucking liar. There are basically no tariffs on US Goods entering New Zealand. There is and continues to be very high tariffs on NZ goods imported into USA. US as free trade champion? Don't make me laugh!
Not sure to be honest, I thought sanctions was on individuals and companies not trade.
Just stood out for me that the biggest country wasn't on the list.
Maybe there are more pages. All will be revealed I suppose in due course, I suppose.
That is trade, no? Companies exporting their products to other places? I know that some companies had to get humanitarian exemptions to sell products to russia (medical products) from the US treasury, so I presumed that meant anything else was sanctioned but I could be reading too much into that
