sigh. if anyone actually read Black feminist theory, they'd know that identity politics includes class! it's not one or the other. gender and race are inextricably linked to class!

Many lower class, straight whites want their specific intersectional cohort to be centered *at the expense of* any discourse that is intentionally inclusive of marginalized communities.

The myth that there is mobility and class doesn't matter is essential to bootstrap BS.
it just seems so obvious to me even though i am not particularly well read.
They change the meaning of things through the malicious use of assumed competence.
(Though sitting down with some bell hooks is still on my to do list!)
