Close — every season, they make the sets 5% smaller, so that Reacher appears 5% bigger. You go back to season 1 after watching season 3, he looks like a midget.
Fantastic.
Reacher's team was boring. They didn't even have a twist where one of them was a traitor. Just a bunch of sidekicks hanging around the big man while he takes care of business.
So far it’s much less “putting the team back together” and much more “what if man, but Large”. And there is a British woman playing a New Englander with a truly wondrous accent.
It really is (I'm from Maine)! I've only watched the first two episodes but I'm on the edge of my seat for the first "wicked." One can only dream about a "bubbla" or a "packie."
I understand what you mean about season 2, but at some point it transcended itself into camp and I honestly enjoy it more this way. So if we get a mystery or if we get an over the top action schlockfest, I'll be happy with my beefcake.

If I had to guess s2 will be the weakest of the three by the time it’s done
That's basically the plot.
but nothing like the Reacher/Roscoe magic of S1.
S3 (like S2) feels like a standard 2000s era USA Network action-mystery.

He may not be able to chuck a grill at a moving vehicle anymore, but he does move faster than spoiled molasses.
Also personally enjoying Duffy, DEA Agent, and the outstanding one liners she's getting.
