Reform wouldn't exist without Farage but he is very unpopular which puts a ceiling on their vote.

when writing about the rise of British populism it’s worth bearing in mind that voters still prefer Starmer to Farage…
….and even prefer Ed Davey to Farage

He's obviously well known but he'll do worse if forced to espouse his views on the NHS and Ukraine.
Only question is if the Tory parties policies will be any better.
That's not quite the same as "most popular", but it's the closest proxy we have.
Neither poll asks directly about "popularity".
Net favourability is the best tool we have to try to capture the general picture
2024 reform:4,106,661
2015 UKIP: 3,881,099
That is the basis of my confidence that they aren't going to be a real force
Asking if someone would make a good PM (would they fit the mould of this specifically defined role, and expectations) is not the same as saying you don’t like someone.
I hope you’re right but that’s not the question asked
Time he was told, repeatedly and publicly, that he's talking rubbish. The evidence is there for all to see, so it needs more publicity - that's proper balance.
Without him they don't know when to limit their racism, & they're back to BNP, or post-Farage-UKIP ceilings, around 5%.
Thing is his way of operating has always been not to worry about getting Labour governments, but rather to tell the Tories that Labour governments will continue until his demands are met.
We don’t. If Farage can successfully game FPTP he can get enough momentum to swallow the Tories. He can become PM, no one should think he can’t. He shouldn’t, of course.
