I really love my MSNBC colleagues and I don't want to get canceled. But speaking over Cory Booker is a terrible idea. We all knew Randy Fine was gonna win in FL. Media wanted to make it seem like a real race. This is history. Stop this.

AGREE! I can’t watch @msnbc.com most of the time. This is Cory Booker’s moment. And they aren’t covering it. Let them cover Florida when Floridians lose their Medicaid and can’t get their Social Security checks. The information imparted by @booker.senate.gov and colleagues today was phenomenal.
Real race? Really? The point leads were cut in half. WHY do you think that happened? THAT was the race. Of course these MAGAs were going to re-elect their own, but Dems did well.
Joan - please understand I am not upset at you. Sorry you caught in my anger towards a husband/wife team. I can’t understand what drove their behavior and their outrage at people who questioned it. It’s hard understanding people bending the knee to Trump who would cast them aside with zero empathy.
Mainstream news is not covering this, so let’s be sure to share this everywhere and give people hope!!! Don’t tell me that felon 47 has a mandate when 350 million people watched & supported Corey Booker’s speech https://thehill.com/homenews/sen...
C-Span for me but, yeah, Booker’s not just reading the phone book. 24 hours + in and this is still a powerful, eloquent speech that will surely rank with the most important in this country’s history.
When Cortez Masto was going on, I think they switched to the talking heads, but then they stayed there. We’ve heard Charlie Sykes enough. Yeah, I’m on live YouTube now too.
Agree! I went to C-SPAN. They all should’ve been airing this Cory Booker thing in the same way you take over programming if there's a no-hitter or a basketball player with 60 points in three quarters. It's a physical feat! Cut in for this kind of thing. Costs nothing and makes for must see TV!
I so agree and I had similar associations as a sports fan. I tuned in around 10 am thinking they'd be airing it. But what do I know. I lost two TV contracts lol...
Agreed - I had wanted to see the minutes after he beat the record. Was unhappy when @msnbc.com cut away. They just didn’t get how many people were watching.
Whiteness is a Hell of an Ideology, and we all watched it in action yesterday on CNN, FOX, and basically every channel except CSPAN and the Associated Press YouTube Channel
I was watching Booker's YT channel too. It was fun watching the numbers go up on how many folks were tuning in. I then watched the rest of his floor speech on TV via C-Span2 because history was being made.
Being first vs the right thing. Seems like an easy choice. MSNBC needs some inspection, the loss of your nation is happening by way of a firehose of bullshit and maybe just maybe every time they "win" it doesn't need a cheerleader.
TV won’t tolerate “dead air”. The term “talking head” came about because television insisted someone be talking at every moment, solemn, awe-inspiring, horrible, or historic.
People have been told what to think for so long now, they cannot think for themselves.
I remember the voice-over during JFK’s funeral, babbling on about what a “youthful, gregarious, and popular President” he’d been, as the horse with reversed boots cantered down the boulevard. I knew it was uncouth, but I already knew it as TV, too.
I wasn't clear. I do enjoy being on a couple of shows. I'd rather not be completely exiled! But I don't really care enough to refrain from telling them what I think they should be doing. For free, in both cases!
Left MSNBC as a regular viewer in November, and I am never going back. I miss Nicolle, Lawrence, and Rachel sometimes, but I’ll get over it. I prefer the non corporate, people-funded, less restrained content creators of YouTube and the like, some formerly of cable news.
No, we didn’t know that Randi fine was going to win in Florida. We thought district 1 was unwinnable, but six should have been. Because the guy is as incompetent as Waltz
I agree. I wanted to hear what Booker had to say, but the host kept running their mouths about shit I don't care about....they need to learn to read the room and shut the fuck up
I am an atheist and this is a punk avatar from NIN. Anyway, yes I saw Booker. We lost the election even though the voters could easily see chump will try to kill them himself. They are still so brainwashed we have no hope. Please if anyone has jobs or any way to escape the USA before they kill me.
I was an original MSNBC viewer from day one. Literally. I quit watching the night of the 2024 election. While I miss Nicole & Lawrence, I don't regret my decision. All the news coming out about the network since, has confirmed my decision. Firing Joy? Yep, I was right.
I just said the same thing!!! The Senator was telling the most tender story about his father suffering from Alzheimer’s and they just cut in! This is why we rarely watch.

Whether the network has been bought off, threatened or simply lost its way, millions of us are saying no thank you.
Sorry, Joan.
People have been told what to think for so long now, they cannot think for themselves.
I was responding directly to your posted text. You seemed worried about getting canceled, so maybe I misunderstood your message.
Thanks for your hard work. I no longer watch MSNBC because they fired Tiffany Cross, Mehdi Hassan, and now JoyAnn Reid. I saw an ugly pattern.
Reminds me of the Olympics. And everything else.
