You can set messages to receive only from those you follow. Then if someone sends you a DM two minutes after you follow them, all you need to do is unfollow. There's also a setting to completely refuse all messages.

Our son sounds similar He is extremely gifted, has ADHD, lots of anxieties. Extremely late bloomer. He doesn’t want to be on meds unless absolutely necessary. Moved out of our house last year.
Lives most of his life online through gaming. Worried but hopeful.

My dad was a pediatrician then a psychiatrist, so he taught me a great deal. I have ADHD too. As an academic, I love research 🤓. I’ve read so many studies, written papers, and we’ve taken him to excellent professionals. Back to the story… About a month ago, he stole my phone & refused to return 🧵
