🚨 New entry into the Kemi Badenoch does not do her homework canon:
Adolescence's creators have denied the series is based on true events, contradicting a theory doing the rounds on X that suggested the main character was “race swapped”
Badenoch tells LBC the story was “fundamentally changed”

It's fiction; base policy on reality.
But they'll defend her and vote for her, because she's *their* fool.
That's the sort of thing you see on an ill-thought-out Netflix ad, not in government.
Sometimes dramas can highlight issues that would otherwise be forgotten.
Part of being a politician is ensuring you are well informed.
Instead she proved herself misinformed.
Like, I'm glad people had a nice evening on the sofa or whatever, but popular TV shows shouldn't dictate policy.
As LOTO, and someone who wants to be prime minister, its her job to be informed on such issues, to have staff briefing her.
Instead, she is misinformed, perpetuating racist misinformation.
Anyway, my concern is not her politics, it's the line about "not watching a Netflix show is bad parenting". Shitty accusations remain shitty no matter who you throw them at.
That you defend that is a red flag. Noone would be questioning her level of awareness if she wasn't misinformed and defending a racist lie.
Well, as we know, she "doesn't make gaffs".🙄
As a parent I feel compelled to watch it (started it last night), but for any MP, let alone a party leader, I would've thought it was essential homework, given the huge interest around it.
So she's interested enough to spread a conspiracy about it on national radio, but not to watch it. Sums her up.
Instead, she makes a performative statement that clearly doesn’t stack up to the back story of this powerful drama. As a constituent, she doesn't speak for me on anything at all.Utterly depressing!
Very insightful. She speaks like Donald Trump.
Perhaps that comes with the territory and she's really no different from either of the last four disastrous Tory leaders but she manages to make it the most notable.
