It doesn’t do everything, and not every story should be forced into being something it can do. Other games exist for those campaigns.
But that is obviously a campaign meant to be run in Palladium’s TMNT system
They used that as a jumping off point for related research. They aren't Marvel characters, idiots or The Librarian l.

People making this point vastly overestimate the simplicity of 5e compared to other systems out there; it actually tends towards the convoluted side of things. If you can learn 5e, you can learn other games too.
People are absolutely capable of playing other games. There can be a learning curve but it isn’t hard.
But we’ll try almost any game for a one-shot.
