SAY YOU DON’T WANT TO TALK AND YOU WANT A LAWYER, THEN SHUT YOUR MOUTH.

Still good today
Tremendous performance by Sterling K Brown but I’m uncomfortable with the episode because Jake mistreats the suspect in the interrogation. That’s where I learned it.

2. I don’t want to talk to you. I want to talk to a lawyer.
If they want to talk to you even with a lawyer present, will they give you an appointment to talk at a later date? or do you just have to hire one and wait and see if it's gonna be a waste of money?
How do you even hire a lawyer if you unexpectedly end up in police custody?

I have seen something like the following be recommended:
"I wish to remain silent. I will not answer any questions. I want to speak to a lawyer."
Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966)
Also relevant: Edwards v. Arizona, 451 U.S. 477 (1981)
Also, also relevant: Davis v. United States, 512 U.S. 452 (1994)
