Now got a bit of a way into BG3 and have a rough handle on how things work, even to the point of remembering to do things in combat other than just panic, scream, and hit stuff with the largest weapon I have.
Just curious: is there any benefit to playing this game like an arsehole? I always have

My Dark Urge was the type to actively fight the urge the whole way through.
I just couldn't kill Karlach, hurt random animals or harm the grove/Tiefs.
Siding with villains makes some encounters easier. There's also a vendor in the late game selling really strong gear that is locked behind a truly evil quest.
And then you can keep making everything worse.
Go Dark Urge if you wanna do truly evil shit.
Although--are you playing the Dark Urge origin?
I find it quite hard to be truly malevolent in BG3 - I've only managed to bring myself to leave Shadowheart in the pod once, and I felt bad for doing it!
It actually kinda worked.
Definitely best as a Playthrough 2 or so tho
Sure you can save her without being evil, but that was patched in so the full Minthara experience is tuned to being evil and/or an asshole
That said, yeah, being nice to people/tends/ to get you farther than being a dick to them. Which is fair!
