I also love this for our uniformly CORRUPT congress who did not see this coming! Maybe if they lose all their illegal and ill-gotten gains, they’ll be forced to remember they have a duty to the people. Wouldn’t that be a nice change.
Lol these hedge fund geniuses must’ve not logged into any social media platform where, daily, folks are saying they don’t want all the AI integration that’s being shoved at them
Not to date myself here but all the billions being pumped into AI is some 2000’s dot-com-era level delusion
Nope. No ethical billionaires, or even millionaires. If he was a half decent person he’d be paying his people more and donating his time and money to those he stole labor from
"Well-regulated capitalism" is what was happening under FDR. Then the moment he was dead, the corporations started working to undo everything he did. That's what will always happen under capitalism. Corporations will always lobby for loosened regulations, and eventually, they'll own the politicians.
Couldn't have happened at a worst time though. There is a 0% there won't be a massive bailout with this admin. They don't need a justification, bad business decisions that are extremely costly just won't be tolerated, they'll be made whole for any mistake they make.
Once I got my hands on a decent workstation GPU I stopped using ChatGPT. The llama3.3 model which is free to download works just well for my needs and I can run it at home without a monthly subscription/etc.
I believe it is in reference to AI large language models. So OpenAI (company that created chatgpt) would be an example of a foundational model company.
Can I just say, as an aside, how much I hate the word "productized?" It's another bit of jargon they use because they've forgotten how to talk like human beings and only know how to communicate in financial transactions.
You 100% know this government would bail them the fuck out. Would be almost as big of a tragedy as the government bailing out all the banks in the late 2000's, and then letting them go back to business as usual.
It turns out when you go all in, you risk losing everything, that's what "all in" means. They gambled and they lost. They want a world where they can go all in and make bookoo bucks if they're right but get bailed out of they're wrong.
Deliciously ironic that these VC types are about to get wiped out (hopefully)by a product with a smaller, cheaper footprint b/c they wanted to deny China access to the expensive Nvidia chips. You love to see it.
If they could just magically lose 20 billion dollars *and not have it impact their lives in any meaningful way* then they need to be taxed a fuck of a lot more than 95%.
We don't even have to tell them we're doing it! They'd never notice.🤷♂️

It’s scuzzy marketing…
Student: Oh, yeah, my bad. I haven't "productized" it yet.

Regulated capitalism is a good thing.
The real problem is when capitalists are able to influence their own governing regulations.
Lol
Capitalism is what’s letting us talk right now.
And you’re basically repeating my point: capitalism can be well-regulated but corporate money & power needs to be separated from the government.
Just a tiny amount.
Is Axios using AI to write it's articles?

Marx would scream unintelligibly for weeks if you resurrect him and show him how the stock market and crypto work now
But I hope it will end a taxpayer backed $500 billion cash grab.
They spent all the interest-free pandemic money on crypto scams ffs!
Lmao, RIP bozos
And throw empty soda bottles at them?
I want rid of this LLM-generated, art-stealing sludge, not have it become even more ubiquitous as it gets cheaper.
Some awful people will lose money. But the AI bubble won't burst
