many of us have made this point. it's a bummer having a lawless authoritarian president under the sway of a Lex Luthor type lunatic. But it opens up significant messaging opportunities.

As you yourself said nearly 30 years ago, DC is a town wired for Republicans. So is the news media most Americans encounter.
Difference: since that time, new regime has actually begun and is in power; media is more scared. The guys under Rubio at State, in particular, would/should merit every bit of focus that Gaetz got. (To be fair, I've seen people on CNN slamming them.)
If not, stop the narrative that Democrats are fighting back.

It’s bad and scary.
But these guys are both terrible at executing. Expect an Execution Period full of terrible mishaps and costly errors.
Much pain, finger pointing, and dark humor.
And in saying very negative things about Musk in the guise of attacking Democrats, he gets people to read it that might not read you.

Believe it or not it's only been two weeks. Heritage Foundation was prepared for this, we were not.
Maybe they prefer to appoint their own billionaires to run things lawlessly when they win a cycle.
We have a foreigner taking over our govt and our elected officials are asleep at the wheel.
