I just received a text to donate given Sen. Cory Booker filibuster.
I looked the PAC up; HOLD THE LINE is a Republican/conservative independent PAC that contributed >$20k to Donald Trump in the last cycle.
Is this 💩 even legal?

From a different number, of course; the scammers don't have real phone numbers.
I recommend going into your texting app and muting "hldtheline.us".
They left out the “O”… these fuckers …. 😑 🤬
This PAC 👇 everyone should follow @holdthelinepac.bsky.social 💙 💙
Definitely was not that text!
Have you seen this, Marcus? 🤔 👋 @marcus4georgia.bsky.social

A much more useful question post-rule of law.
Take a deep breath, do your homework and then be sure before you give.
Republicans and their ilk are complete ripoff scumbags and won’t hesitate to stoop so low.
Don’t follow links.
Look up the org, double triple check, then give.
Look up the website.
He texted me three times!’

If you want to support Dems, donate directly to candidates or to DNC, DCCC etc.
And state Dem parties and trusted voting rights and GOTV orgs.
Skip the creepy PACs.

At a minimum, the Dem org should avoid the confusion.
It looks like this one was previously the election campaign for Marcus Flowers, and after he lost his primary he transitioned it into a Democrat PAC (is that possible?). He should've checked to see if anyone else used this name first.
