The thing about efficiency standards is they save you money.
Like dishwashers being wildly energy and water efficient is why it's literally better for the environment to use a dishwasher over handwashing.
It makes being lazy the greener choice. That RARELY happens.

7 Democrats just joined Republicans to vote to repeal a Biden-era rule strengthening efficiency standards for batteries, dishwashers, washing machines, and pool heaters.

My dishwasher uses 6.5 litres of water in a full (eco) cycle.
The tap disburses 8.5 litres a minute.
If democrats had control and voted to make this law EVERY REPUBLICAN, we're vote against it😳
Even looking at Google, they're multiplying something and coming up with trillions. It's a simple equation, at least it used to be🤣
350 million people ×1 million=each person getting one million I mean, it's been many, many years since I've been in math class but can I possibly be that wrong?
SERIOUSLY 350 MILLION= EACH PERSON GETS A MILLION.. Y'all got some new math
Point of democrats
Dishwashers are so fucking water efficient that loading your diswasher poorly and running it a SECOND time is still better than handwashing.
To cut energy usage I just use the air dry cycle.
And seriously, the water used returns right back to where it started eventually..
THE OCEAN
Im Saving the planet?
Dishwashers use way less water than tap water.
We agreed to disagree🤐
(And no, that's not where most fresh water starts/ends up)
To put this in context an energy efficient dishwasher uses like 2-5 gallons a cycle. Your kitchen faucet uses 1.5 gallons of water a minute.
That just reminded me to go open my dishwasher and let out the steam. 👍
Water saving isn't everything. Especially in wetter places.
which is why we have dudes who haul nothing spending 80k for massive trucks that are expensive to insure and cost a fuck ton in fuel.
Hell, even if it was somewhat less efficient, it would probably be one of the best possible uses of resources.
2.They breakdown cannot be repaired and end up in the landfill.
