I have learned in recent years there are 10s of millions of Americans not only willing but eager to go watch a lynching from the comfort of a picnic blanket and the only thing that was holding them back was the social penalty; really makes you think about those who warn against social penalties.

The social penalties are why racism in the north was more covert than in the south.

Pretty ironic that the stockpilers been doing it in the name of resisting a repressive regime (which was code for "there's a black man in the White House") but they seem pretty happy with where things are headed.
