I will keep beating this drum until the tide turns:
Obama's DNC speech got him rock-star attention, but the key reason he became a viable presidential primary candidate was his opposition to the Iraq War back when many elected Dems--especially Hillary Clinton--supported it.

Charlie Chaplin moved to Switzerland as the 'hypocrisy' in America was overwhelming. He predicted all of this....
The current "soft-pedal-liberalism-we'll-keep-the-leftists-in-line" fundraising model that has worked so well with wealthy donors is their triumph. It's all he knows.
(I get that it's inherently illogical to disdain politicians for always tallying votes but ...)
And if it doesn't well at least you still have your soul. That's the most important thing in the end.

In the end, Obama and Clinton clashed, and Sec. of State didn't even serve Clinton's ambitions well.
The anger is that we STILL, after all this time, see at least a plurality of the people we boost into positions of power using that power to be "Hillary" instead of the "Obama" in critical moments.

Which is totally consistent with what I'm saying here: Do the right thing because it's right.
Related - get a Dem Leader in Congress that's not from the AIPAC-owned NYC machine.
But we must all say NO to the temper tantrums!
Truth is in some ways more embarrassing, bc they allowed themselves to be bullied into giving Bush authorization in the name of negotiating. Bush promptly invaded.
