Yet, the majority of the world that once admired 248 years of the USA and its experiment in democracy, clearly gives full credit to how stupid that at least 74M voters out of 220 eligible voters in the USA , have become.
Has become?
Do you remember all the day traders back around 2000.
Many lost savings and 401ks thinking they knew what they were doing.
Remember Enron?
We were all told to diversify our 401ks, but...
How about the investing into beanie babies?
How about interest only home loans with balloon payments?
Most people only bought one though.
So they weren't seen as an investment opportunity.
Very good marketing though.
No Ron Popeil but still pretty good.
I have never been one to just go along blindly. My parents died when I was young & I have no real respect for the relatives who took us. Abuse is nothing to follow. I tend to watch how people treat others to see if I want to emulate their behavior.
Everyone who lost money in this deserves it….her original comment was not really that funny and her subsequent appearances have been laughably cringeworthy
I think the caption that best sums up *a certain slice of* the USA is "Everyone was really enthusiastic about the book-burning ceremony, until we realised no one had any books."
All those who invested in her...whatever that was, need to get together, and turn themselves in to the stupid police.
Also, they are forbidden from reproducing for the next 50 years.
Honest, I am the furthest thing from a prude, but I just can't imagine why anyone would want their face and name forever associated with... this particular thing she did.
I respectfully disagree. America is a diverse nation with its flaws, but exceptional stupidity isn't a characteristic that defines it. We should focus on promoting education, empathy, and critical thinking to overcome our differences.
She appeared on Maher's Club Random and was an utter disaster. I think Bill thought it would be a hip thing to have her on, but it was cringingly awful. I'm surprised he aired it.
Don't worry, I give them/myself plenty of credit for that. Saw on reddit some guy lost his entire retirement and his children's college funds in this scam.
The instant that girl made that stupid comment on camera, I thought to myself “You know, if she’s lucky she won’t regret doing that for the rest of her life.” I was right.
I am just waiting for the Defcon evil geniuses to figure out how to scam the scammers. There was one guy that figured it out with the penny stocks back in the early days before effective spam filters.
Unfortunately scams hook people in by making them think they're being the smartest person in the room by going for it. That's why we have phrases like 'rug pull' and 'pump and dump'. Tis why crypto is one giant scam on the whole, people get caught up, only to find the marks were actually themselves.
"But I bought your crypto! Hawk Tuah on my mushroom pencil now!"
It's like the dumbo in the strip bar who gives $1000 to the woman who I find later and say "that was great how you worked over Dennis...and she grins and asks me if I want lap dance - nope, cuz u r gorgeous but u no fuck me. #goodwork
Seriously? You gave all your money to a girl who was famous for making a coarse reference to a sex act on a 15 second bit on a late night show? You deserve to be fleeced you rube.
If you thought investing in a crypto promoted by a girl famous for her knowledge of BJ skills was a good idea, then I've got a bridge I'd like to show you....

Also, they are forbidden from reproducing for the next 50 years.
I mean, go out and save animals or something.
This is exactly what I thought of, too.
So, their idiocy knows no bounds.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think so…
Life in America is like a box of chocolate... you never know what you are going to get.
But more often than not, stupidity will play a role one way or another. It is like a cosmic constant.
or
is it the lead and asbestos contaminated drinking water
that has turned us into a nation of ignorant morons?
I go with the lead.
Did the same thing to Rome.
