It's the most uneven battleground possible. They have literally zero at stake beyond ideology. They even get rich when they lose as it fuels hate donations. And when they win all they get is the joy of knowing they caused us harm. Whereas it affects our future, health and freedom

I think the reason is yes ideology but also SCOTUS justices have a very narrow expertise outside of which they get their info from the same sources as everyone else, and the media have carried water for Cass since it came out. They were surprised to hear about anti-crossdressing laws in the US ffs
