You know who hasn't had this degree of media support for their financial interests? Disabled people, poor people with more than two kids, public sector workers (after all that clapping for the NHS). I'm not usually a 'blame the media' person but seriously - this is mad

Children the state is looking after. The most vulnerable. The ones who should have the best care and most protection.
And from the mainstream media - nothing.
But hey, rich men are avoiding IHT.
This should have happened years ago.
Direct parallels with VAT on private school fees in both the who-is-directly-affected-and-where-do-they-work sense and the excess-profits/inheritance-funding-intense-lobbying activity sense
State schools face funding challenges 365 days a year

If we want nice things, someone has to pay for them, and each successive government giving tax breaks to their preferred cohort does not help matters.
Those other groups are not in the same circles, hence zero coverage...
People like him and Dyson looking to consolidate their fortune in land to avoid IHT is probably one reason this policy came into being.
Dyson and Clarkson to blame. And they are not farmers.
My husband is a farmer but I won't be protesting because I'm still mad at the NFU for not opposing Brexit before 2016.
It seems only pensioners matter.
If you'd passed it on when you were 70, there's be no IHT on your death ...
The story should be - why do decrepit 80 year olds not trust their 50 year old children with a valuable asset?
For most of us nowadays, the idea of a job for life is a completely alien concept - but we are taking about a small minority of people who theoretically stand to seamlessly take over their family business.
