More like we're all throwing them off on purpose so he's never found. The man did what MANY have secretly fantasized about doing. Taking out a bigwig at a company that has done us grievous harm to make a serious point & bring a lot of light to the issue. FORCIBLY. HE'S A NATIONAL TREASURE. π₯°
Right. Thereβs a lot of right-wing internet sleuths out there who use their skills to stalk and harass people. Iβm sure they are on this. Probably the first time theyβve used their techniques on a white man!
This is like Guy fawkes all over again.
You have to have fireworks and burn effergies of CEOs every year now. Eventually it will become a national holiday.
Weird, most reactions I've seen are people shrugging over the death or announcing they will protect the masked dude.
Only corporate media are imploring the public to care about the CEO.
They are not. Literally nobody feels bad about the dude who used AI to deny claims, especially when the AI had a 90% error rate. How many people died or suffered because of him? That's why nobody is helping. Fkg lying ass npr.
Maybe they will use the magic cure-all .. AI... which could be hillarious and/or terrifying when they just arrest some random innocent because computer says so.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who heard his name is Spartacus.
Tell you what, I will care about them doing their hardest to find this manβs killer when they put the same energy into getting justice for the other bunch of families whoβs lost relatives due to cold murder
The care worker and street sweeper does way more good for society than that CEO imo, I wish I could imagine that much effort going to find justice for them and their families
If theyβre trying to suggest that internet sleuths are causing harm by NOT helping, thatβs rich. Isnβt that what the actual PAID NYPD detectives are for?
This is true, if by "racing to find evidence" you mean holding events for impersonators wearing hoodies and backpacks, endless discussion about how hot he is judging from his picture, sharing of stories of corporate abuse of patients and an increased interest in Medicare for all.
Funny thing is, the insurance companies are trying to pretend that it was a "false flag" -- an assassin hired by one of them to punish Thompson for misleading information, not (and they can't emphasize this enough) one regular dude who has had enough of their nonsense.
Inscribing bullet casings seems an unlikely flourish for a hired killer. I think cheating customers and staff might become as dangerous as it should be.
Yeah, everyone is just tripping over themselves for that job. Right after they do all of their laundry and catalogue the books they didn't manage to read last year.
All I can think is that if someone DOES turn him in for the reward, they better hope that their identity stays a secret.
I wouldn't do anything myself, but I can't speak for anyone else.
I misspoke there - I *would* judge whoever did it.
The reward amount is just plain insulting, especially when you consider that the victim was the CEO of the largest health insurance company in the US. And that wording makes it pretty clear that you won't actually be getting the full amount.
I am finding that puzzling. Usually, when thereβs an announcement of a reward, various entities start adding to it. But I havenβt heard of anyone adding to this one. Hmmmm.
It's up to "up to" 50k now, but that wouldn't have paid for my emergency appendectomy that they were legally obligated to perform regardless of coverage because I was 1/actively dying and 2/unresponsive and alone therefore unable to FILL OUT THEIR FUCKING FORMS.
Thank you, thatβs very kind. I got very lucky physically and financially and it worked out for me, but Iβm an anomaly. In capitalism *everything* is just another business, especially death. Thatβs why Gaza is happening.

And maybe some people did it to personally find out.... but I don't see people mass reporting to the police. π€·π»

If he had kids, I feel for them. His family is going through what Thompson put millions of American families through.
It's not right but it's hypocritical to ignore the lives he destroyed.
I doubt too many people are looking for him that are not being well-paid to do so.
Only corporate media are imploring the public to care about the CEO.
they seek him there
those billionaires seek him everywhere
Taking one for the team, or a patsy? Can't grow a uni-brow in 4 days.

Just saying.
