Again, in 2022, Congress passed a law that explicitly made these firings illegal. Are Republican senators unaware of that?

Lindsey Graham dismisses Trump illegally firing inspectors general: "He won the election. What do you expect him to do? Just leave everybody in place in Washington? This makes perfect sense to me."

Meanwhile, I spent 5 years full active duty and left as SSgt/E5
So yes, Hypocrisy with a capital H.
But what can we do about it? I'm weary of 'highlighting' their depravity. I am looking for action items.
As he smirks. If this was President Harris doing any of this Lindsey would be clutching pearls and falling on a couch and crying about impeachment.

Oh for the days of checks and balances.
Why pay taxes when the government, all branches, are neglecting their constitutional duties?!!
Is this fallout from the egregious SCOTUS immunity ruling?
I'm not trying to be "that person" here, but the scenario you laid out relies heavily on ". . . faces being charged with violating federal law."
We've been at that point before with Trump, and thus far I haven't seen much enforcement (consequences). Rubber meet road.
with you.
👍 for including an actual technique (as advice) that at least threw sand in his gears.
Your example/suggested technique makes me think even more strongly that the current Trump approach is intended to overwhelm any organized response --- a lesson learned during Trump 1.0
In Trump's case, I honestly don't know if he even thinks like that. Hell, he might well leave the WH on a gurney thanks to a stroke or coronary. So, he might just go for broke.

Just go to the press.
Instead, the Senate is a club of yes men to the dictator, there only to legitimize the latest illegal act.
How drunk was he to get up to say that?
Lindsey’s answer shows they are fine with trump breaking any law he wants since he won
Lindsey needs a ball gag and leash held by trump on these shows
You can too:

No one has ever held him accountable for breaking laws and now that they own the whole government no one will.
― Eric Hoffer, The True Believer
But he doesn't care about anything. He just tries everything. Even if it's just a distraction he gets what wants.
This whole thing is absurd. If Congress isn't going to insist he follow the law, then he is a king. Own it.
Good thing we kept the filibuster.
But now he has immunity from the renegade Supreme Court ruling for most anything he tries to pull.
They don't know what the law is, and they don't care to find out first
Earlier in the interview she let him prattle on "what about Biden pardoning his family members?" when asked about January 6 killers being released.
Happy Monday. Don't be a Dana Bash.

Grassley acknowledged clearly that the exec order broke the law (in NYT iirc)
I took Lindsey Graham to be saying "yeah he broke the law but who cares" and I heard no meaningful followup from Dana Bash, so much the worse for CNN
my 2c on elected D message is: Trump doesn't want clean government, he wants dirty government so that he can loot from us, the people

Laws no longer apply to their party or supporters. He pardoned felons & seditionists this week!
