Carl Sagan reciting a poem on relativity:
"There was a young lady named Bright,
Who could travel much faster than light.
She set off one day, in a relative way,
And returned the preceding night."

I vividly remember bopping to Madonna's album, Like a virgin in 1985 while I was making macrame pot holders for birthday and Xmas presents...
I would play that cassette tape over and over and over again.
How can you go backwards in time by travelling faster than light?
Since speed is relative, if Bright is considered the outside observer, all other objects are travelling fast (hence slowing down).
As she accelerates past light speed, she observes the universe
...
But I guess that would be at infinite speed (i.e. when the traveller can be everywhere at the same time), which is much faster than 300k km/s.
(Travelling 13% faster than light would still only save a minute from here to the sun.)
Well, I guess you get my point about shrinking. I wouldn't recommend it.
If you and a ray of light start at the same time, and you move faster than light, you arrive at the destination before the ray of light. So while you sit at the destination waiting, theoretically you still see light rays from before.

To her friends said the Bright one in chatter,
"I have learned something new about matter:
My speed was so great,
Much increased was my weight,
Yet I failed to become any fatter!"
Einstein says, “What’s the 2nd thing?”
"Does Boston stop at this train?"
A time traveler comes into a bar.
I often wonder: if we actually discovered intelligent life on another planet, is there any way that the speed of light could be exceeded so that we could travel to that planet in our lifetime?
The lady was Bright but not bright,
And she traveled again that night.
So then two made the date,
And then four, and then eight,
And her spouse got a hell of a fright.
Who else misses the calm reassuring voice of Carl?
Every time listening to Sagan is like a “moment of Zen”.
Possible Probable my black hen;
She lays eggs in the relative when;
Not in the absolute here and now;
Because she's unable to postulate how.
Is that the same thing ?
2x Egg McMuffins instead ???
With Ron and Sid and Meg.
Ron stole Maggie’s heart away,
And I got Sidney’s leg.

Besides, objects may travel faster than the speed of light relative to each other, but not in their "local" #Spacetime...
Carl Sagan is of course a hero of #Science.
The idea is things can be _caused_ from an effect at this rate (distance per time) and no faster; light and other radiation
Relativity is the relationship between matter ("M") and energy ("E"), linked by causality
(quantum observations are "awkward things")
