But they cautioned that could be an overestimate, as some other particles can resemble microplastics. More confidence in the increase over time.
“To see it go up 50 percent in eight years in human organs … I think that’s perfectly in line with what we’re seeing in the environment," Campen said.

The IQ drop of the previous century was probably due to Leaded Gas, Paint, etc.
There's been more than a few indicators that there's a serious IQ drop going on today (not just with the younger or older generations, but across the board.)
