I'm not knowledgeable about torrents, can someone please explain what this means, and perhaps also privately message me info on how NOT to do it so i can NOT do this type of stuff more frequently :3
Ok, so my understanding from searching about this stuff a few years ago is that torrents work because you can download them from a bunch of different sources, "seeds", then I imagine, by proxy, a leecher must be someone who uses torrents but doesn't share their own files, sorta defeating the point
Almost, a seed is someone who has a full file and is sharing it a peer is someone who has part of the file, and a leech is someone who download the file and doesn't share it back.
girl who dutifully opens the tracker every night so see if someone has seeded the torrent link from 2012 of an ableton live version 2.0 project file and stems for rich DDT's set at the west coast controllerism battle. nobody ever does. still she sits and waits like a dog at the door.
sorta unrelated tangent but yesterday i was hunting for stuff and found out every large torrent on the internet archive is outright fucked lol. did you know this I didn't know this

I have terabytes of upload on most of my private trackers.
toxic yuri has gone too far
I'm very anxious about giving other people access to my files which is one of a couple reasons I've never attempted to torrent Anything
Also, the risk of someone giving me something with malware makes my anxiety not like it either rahhh
The only files you give access to are the one's you are seeding, you are not giving access to anything else on your drive.
