Dude I'll be honest, I'm fucking IMPRESSED. I mean I'm seriously impressed. He is KILLING IT. And he was fucking BRUTALIZED in Our Cartoon President. That show needs to come back & give him some props now tbh
Counterpoint: if the only language they understand is Awake All the Time, he's speaking their language and they'll understand every word. Not that they don't already.
🤣
Tbf, you’re not confusing a lack of sleep with intellect but rather his ability to continue making arguments and points for 23 hours, and you are cheering on an impressive protest.
Senator Cory Booker just made history with the longest filibuster ever—bold, principled, and full of patriotic audacity. This is what standing up for democracy looks like. We see you, Senator. And we’re with you. 🌓✨

Honestly he was too loopy for that. And I mean that with all the love he has for his colleagues. This was a better version of pulling all nighter banging out a great essay. He was clearly tired as hell but pushed through with sheer willpower and didn’t even let it dilute his message.
If an old, Black baby-making racist can espouse racism and white supremacy for over 24 hours, why are people surprised that a former, elite athlete is doing this?
I know he's going to black out after this, but I'm happy this is on video because he's got some insane 🔥🔥 quotes in there that could resonate for years.
Our administration is destroying everything our country was founded on. What Mr. Booker is doing is meant to disrupt the Senate to hinder this process and grow awareness to the state of affairs.
While not a tradition, per se, it has happened before.
Booker should get a lot of credit. Last night’s naysayers owe booker an apology. He shut down the senate all day, and did something Dems have been asking for - disruption. I hope this spurs much more congressional fight.
I did think it was just a performance especially when he did it at night, was happy to see him go all the way into the next day of business and shut that down, really great job by him.
Indeed. Every time I check in, he's in the middle of an impassioned, cogent point. He's obviously showing fatigue at this point, but he's not just hanging on, he's *preaching*.
I do my best work when I've been awake for 24 hours minimum. You start to see the face of God, and it is telling you to "go to sleep," and that "the human body was not designed for this." You gotta bring your A game when a deity starts telling you to stop.
Yes, and that it's actually holding up Senate business now. The main last thing I'm keeping an eye out for is that at the end of this he doesn't just give unanimous consent to rush things through and make up the time from this to still get to leave after they're done on Thursday.
He is eloquent and energized after 21 hours! Anyone who is saying it is a stunt is not watching. He is showing strength and intelligence and using the power he has in this moment to inspire us to fight.
I use YT as guest for most things. When I use Samsung services that came with the TV, they have access to what I'm doing. So, I don't know what's going on with the MSM. Need to get a vpn...
Mr Nice Guy takes the lead. We need strong Democratic voices here in NJ. The governor election is coming up and Trump sent Alina Habba Dabba Do to mess it up.

What a great speaker he is!
Holy **** Cory Booker @booker.senate.gov!!! You are amazing!!! 💙💙💙
When he breaks Thurmond’s disgusting racist record in a couple of hours I want to see him make that walk and sit on the steps to finally rest.
but actually seeing it play out is quite satisfying
Is this a US tradition?
Why this marathon speech?
While not a tradition, per se, it has happened before.

TAKE NOTES DEMOCRATS
Send him strength. Will him on for a couple more hours!
If I had the means, I'd deliver him a brew of my special iced coffee to keep the pep in his step.
I'm a 67 year old 1st time protester. I'm out there because I'm afraid for our country. I'm afraid for the people in it.
Call every GOP senator to shame them and every Dem senator to encourage them.
