Doctors: "There's no point doing infection control for Covid in hospitals, people could catch it anywhere"

People already in hospital are more vulnerable too. They did not get there for no reason.
She still glowered, but at least she didn't start a verbal confrontation.
(I'm using that one word a LOT.)
I don’t get it. If you’re wearing a mask, especially a good one, people have way less to fear from you than from the average unmasked person.
Even if you were ill.
I just get so tired of people trying to make it my problem.
I’m wondering why she was upset.
I think, though, we were both on the same page... well, sort of. You wondered why the nurse was upset... I sort of wondered but then decided, "Nah, it's her problem, not mine."
(This doesn't work if you TELL people this is your intention)
I knew an elderly person who caught Covid in hospital and died due to poor infection control 😡😡😡
how do you know you have avoided, covid, as many cases, even in elderly, are asymptomatic ?
the only way to *really know is weekly PCR or to test your blood for antibodies to proteins not in the vaccine
I can’t understand it. These are medical personnel.
Frankly, it is disturbing how little ppl in health care actually know about viral spread.
It shouldn’t have to be this way.
We can predict the actions of a mob/herd with great accuracy for a reason.
No other factor sits above the mob mentality just if you are part of that particular herd.
And yet, there they are, acting like this is all OK.
Someone must WANT things to be this way. In America, the “owners” of many hospitals are rich and getting richer. They don’t get rich by providing needed services, they get rich
The beneficiaries of these systems—the owners, not the patients—seem to assume that nothing bad will EVER happen to them.
I’m not even thinking of the disabling “brain fog” attributable to multiple Covid infxns, although that is happening, too.
It’s more subtle. Perhaps 5 or 10 points off the top of IQ.
It’s also very dependent on your area. Some are better than others.
It wasn't the economy that needed shutting down, it was the unfiltered mouths of the people using the hospital.
😢
This also serves to keep people from admitting to damage from Covid and from demanding mitigations, because that would be admitting to being a sick, dispensable, asocial, useless person selfishly holding the healthy majority back from legitimate and fruitful pursuits
I guess she saw the look in my eyes as she changed subjects quickly.
My brother in his speech identified me as “hiding behind the mask”. :/
He’d be off my Christmas Card list for that.
Sigh.
A week later, I was in the ER with lungs that needed a CT scan. They "lost" my COVID test results. Only place I could get a PCR was affiliated with the hospital. 🙃
The plan was #FlattenTheBoomers right?
The Baby Boomers are retired, they stopped paying taxes, are just taking up extra flat space during a housing crisis, cost too much in health costs and are going to bankrupt our poorly funded pensions so they had it coming.
