Learning about HRT and how it worked is what made me want to finally experiment with my identity because surgery was terrifying.
Now I'm all hopped up on hormones and hot af!
it forced them to confront what "sex hormones" actually are and do
Cis people when trans people do the same thing: "WITCHCRAFT! BURN THE WITCHES! THEY'RE AN AFFRONT TO NATURE!"
I've had a bunch of friends and acquaintances transition over the years, and never once worried myself about the details of the process.
It made me wonder what he thought made breasts grow on cis women.
That’s my guess, anyway.
"a couple of pills a day" can give cancer. A single injection of something can kill you. Who in his/her right mind would think that this can't change your body ?
And what does that stuff about being "normal" means ?
Physiology can seem counterintuitive at times but not here.
-boobs
-body hair
-deeper voice
-periods
-sex ed (which is widely varied in its actually educational content)
Hell, nobody explained breast buds either so for the first few weeks of that, child me thought I had breast cancer (bc “lumps in breast”)
