Today is National Feral Cat Day! I'd like to grab this opportunity to point out that the word "feral" is often misused as a synonym for "stray". They are not the same and conflating the two terms can lead to misunderstandings about the needs of truly feral cats. https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feral-and-stray-cats-an-important-difference/

And how they are perceived in different countries.
Wouldn’t swap them for the world tho, they’ve got a nice life and they’re good arms-length company
I wish you luck and cat snuggles :)
Also my mother was never allowed to cat sit again. Left with two cats, came home to 5!
(They looked cold and hungry)
Any affection a cat exhibits toward a human is best understood as self-serving machinations by nature’s most highly evolved misanthrope.
Yes... Thank you for being kind!
There was another job that had…maybe a stray turned feral…who we would let in when the boss wasn’t in and he would sleep on a desk with us.
but, like, i just want to talk to their former human house mates
/that said, they're doing well here!
WHEN MY HUMAN ADOPTED ME AT SIX(ISH) MONTHS OLD, I WASN’T MICROCHIPPED OR NEUTERED
I RIP OPEN FOOD AND TRASH AND I STILL HIDE MY BEST TOYS IN SAFE PLACES
BUT I ALWAYS LOVED BEING WITH HUMANS
my previous-to-the-current cat was a stray.
current cat is a former feral. this was us yesterday:
Didn't start off well, though. One of the other cats tried to nip off what she seemed to think was a fur snarl, bit him in the testicles. Not a great way to woken up.
Mind you, Nameless was always a feral. She made a great humanologist. Never wanted petting or cuddles but was utterly fascinated by human activity.
