☹️ Pepper got returned to the shelter. When he first came in last year he was the scrungliest stray but so sweet. He looked like he was 3x his actual age. He got adopted a couple months ago and I don’t know why he was returned but he is just the nicest gentleman. https://www.hsccvt.org/Cats#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1731762340%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2FCCVT-A-16501

I would love him but I already have a cat and 3 guinea pigs. Plus I live in another country.
I wish him all the best!
You make the decision to get a pet, so keep it. They are part of the family now.
I always feel like people who just return a pet, or worse, abandon them, are just petty and generally awful to be around.
I have never even heard of this until 2 years ago.
We already had cats. The dog resource guards. We don't know how to handle this before a cat gets attacked by him. Otherwise he's a fantastic dog.
I'm saying, sometimes there is no good reason. It's just not a good fit.
I'm too far away though ☹️
I used to have a lot, but my cat eats them, which means I have limited options. They have to be cat friendly--palms and ferns mostly, which is fine, I love them. But she nibbles them all down to their doom.

This is my 8 y/o middle cat for the record.
He lets me pet him, just barely.
I hope Pepper will find his furever home soon.🤞❤️
Pepper your forever home is out there mate, keep your chin up.
I hope somebody can help him.
Despicable.

Using living creatures as props is never okay!

Maybe the shelter should recommend new adopter do same.
Sometimes these wonderful creatures have foibles that aren't compatible with everyone.
Cat terrorizes dog, especially if cat's being ignored and wants attention; he knows messing with the dog will get attention. And then the dog looks anywhere *but* at the cat, with an obvious thought-bubble reading, "I see no cat!!"
Some people get an animal attached to them just to return them over normal animal stuff like scratching furniture. 😭
Turns out he had stomach issues and no one wanted to admit that they didn't want to deal with a cat who was throwing up.
Please go back to the owner and ask some direct questions so the needs of this cat can be met.
he just needs to find the right home.
I prescribe additional scritches.
I’m not any kind of physician, but I’m pretty sure I’m write about this one
Hope he finds a lo eing forever home soon.
